Following my previous email, I am now sending a reminder of the 2021 calls. I would like to invite you, as Strategic Theme Co-ordinators, to highlight this call to your theme members for the potential submission of an outline business case for EPSRC's Strategic Equipment Scheme.

Due to the scheme's strategic nature and the anticipated University commitment, an internal assessment process has been established to review and determine potential progression of outline business cases to EPSRC, as outlined below.

Provisionally 22nd March 2021
Re submission of revised business case to internal panel with potential second panel review (by invitation).
Wednesday 5th May 2021, 4pm
Submission to EPSRC (if agreed by internal panel).

Each application should be accompanied by an e-mail of support from the applicant's Head of Department, outlining any departmental financial support. It is also expected that applicants will have engaged in a preliminary discussion with the appropriate Vice Dean for Research, in the early stages of planning the business case.

RKES support is available for outline business case development and project management support if developing a full bid for final review, after initial approval by EPSRC. In the first instance, please inform me of your intention to apply, for an initial discussion.
