Dear  All,

Here is another reminder from RIO that we now live in Brexitland, where
allowing an European student to come here to do a project can take up to 6
months.

Regards
Francesco

Dear All

I hope you are well.  I am circulating email below again to remind you
that the visa status for inbound ERASMUS traineeships has changed follow
Brexit.  Please see update below.  I would be grateful if you could
share this with any colleagues in your department who usually host
traineeships.

Many thanks.

Allison

*Subject:* Inbound ERASMUS Traineeships - IMPORTANT UPDATE

Dear Colleagues

*_INBOUND ERASMUS TRAINEESHIPS – IMPORTANT UPDATE_**__*

I hope you are well.  Following Brexit, please be aware that the visa
requirements for inbound ERASMUS trainees has changed.  In future,
depending on the nature and duration of their placement, they may
require a Tier 5 visa sponsored by the British Council which can take
around 6 months to put in place.  This must be done in advance of their
arrival.

In view of this, if you are interested in hosting an ERASMUS traineeship
it is important that you contact me first and I’ll seek further guidance
from our admissions/visa compliance team on the type of visa that will
be required, and the process for securing this. *_Please do not agree
to_*_*hosting an ERASMUS traineeship until you have consulted me and
please consult me as early as possible. *_

I would be grateful if you could share this email with any other
colleagues in your department who have hosted ERASMUS traineeships in
the past to flag this issue.

Many thanks.

Allison
