EPS Forum, 2-3 June 2022, Sorbonne University

The European Physical Society (EPS) has partnered with its 42 Member Societies, 18 Divisions and Groups and 40 Associate Members to organise the first edition of the EPS Forum<https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fiop-london.msgfocus.com%2Fc%2F15x9ZJTyjOOk4q5m418nMo2pKa&data=04%7C01%7Ccath.cheshire%40strath.ac.uk%7C0a40aab42784489922c508d9dbf95a42%7C631e0763153347eba5cd0457bee5944e%7C0%7C0%7C637782686265147588%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000&sdata=ZOcUxFD2pbKoFa3ANIl3Pow0Su9fMdsbKxKJzS4SgfA%3D&reserved=0>, taking place at Sorbonne University, Paris, on 2 and 3 June 2022. The conference is aimed at masters and doctoral students and post-docs in physics from all over Europe, and accommodation and meals will be offered by EPS.

Day 1, titled Physics meets Industry, aims to support young graduates to discover the beautiful physics made in large industries, SMEs and start-ups; promote the doctoral degree to physics-based companies and offer them access to a pool of young doctors in physics; and encourage cross-exchanges between companies, organisations and young physicists in order to bring the industrial and academic sectors together.

Day 2 will consist of a Scientific and Societal Colloquium and a general conference, focusing on specific scientific themes. They are condensed matter physics: from quantum materials to additive manufacturing; energy and sustainability; accelerators, high-energy particle physics, nuclear physics; quantum technologies and photonics; machine learning and artificial intelligence; and biophysics, technological sequencing of proteins, pandemic, cancer treatments.
