  *   Award Range £100k - £800k including VAT (funded at 100% FEC)
  *   Closing date for finalised Expressions of Interest (EOI) (submitted on Survey Monkey): Thursday 28th April 2022, 16.00hrs. Internal deadline Monday 11th April 2022 16.00hrs.
  *   The primary purpose of the equipment must be biomedical research. Applications from all scientific areas within MRC remit are eligible at this expression of interests stage, but MRC reserve the right to focus the remit of the full funding opportunity to manage demand (e.g. limiting to certain technologies; imposing a limit on number of applications per research organisation).
  *   Contributions from the host institution or institutions and other external sources are encouraged, but not mandatory.
  *   It is expected that awards would be made in quarter three 2022. Successful applicants need to complete their spending by 31 March 2023.

As an institution, we are keen to prioritise and strengthen potential submissions to this call via internal panel review. I would therefore be grateful if you could:

  *   Inform Jonathan.s.scott at strath.ac.uk<mailto:Jonathan.s.scott at strath.ac.uk> as soon as you can that you are preparing to submit an Expression of Interest.
  *   Complete and return the attached form (based on the Survey Monkey EOI) by Monday 11th April 2022 16.00hrs to allow internal panel review, feedback and approval for submission.
