[Academic] David Elder lectures - request for potential lecturers

Dear All,

The speakers for the next series of the David Elder Lectures, held at 
the GSC, are currently being assigned. See here for details and past

The lectures are astronomy-based, but in a loose way.  You will see that 
a wide range of topics that are covered.

There are a couple of lecture slots available for the 2022 series 
starting this autumn:

September 2022 lecture: Weds 21 or Thurs 22

October 2022: Weds 26

It would be very good to get a David Elder Lecture from someone in our 
Department. This is a prestigious outreach event that has attracted many 
high-profile scientists in the past.

If you are interested in contributing to the series, or wish to discuss 
possibilities, please reply by end of next Tuesday 12 July.
