Hi

For information, when securing funding for a studentship, whether this be in partnership with another institution or a supervisor contribution towards a University or UKRI funded studentship you must complete a costing and have a fully signed studentship agreement. This is the responsibility of the supervisor and not the PGR Tutor to complete the costing and RKES can advise on the studentship agreement.

Requesting funding can often take months, and at the moment you also have to be mindful that RKES are struggling and approvals are taking much longer than normal. It is therefore recommended that you do this well in advance of the start date of the student so as to achieve the best possible outcome. My suggestion would be to start the process at the point you agree to the PhD.

I am happy to help with your costings so please do not delay and if not sure of the procedures remember that Brian, Michaela and I are here to offer guidance.

Thanks

Kirsten
