Dear PGR Team,

As you may know, the standard form used by the university to capture information about PGR opportunities for display on the university website isn't the most user-friendly.

So Kylie, Juliette and I have been working on a new version that's more suitable for Science. A copy of this is attached. We couldn't make really big changes - most of the field are fixed - but it should at least be more intuitive and/or have clearer instructions.

Please can you circulate it to colleagues in your departments and ask that they use this version from now on. Ideally we want every member of staff to have at least one possible PhD project on the website. Note that it DOES NOT need to be a funded opportunity. There are potential students out there with scholarships or in a position to self-fund. However, we need to make our research opportunities as visible as possible, to try and attract good students.
