[Academic] Library: World Scientific Physics ebook collection

Hi Bengt,

My opinion is I don't think I would use them, and that's a hefty price, but see what others think too!

In fact, I was wondering if we should get Frontiers of Physics, as it doesn't seem to be in our Springer package and I have had issues downloading https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s11467-022-1255-1 recently (also Glasgow Uni don't have it though!)

Dear All

The Library would like to know if there would be interest in the Physics Department in World Scientific ebooks on Physics - see attached the title lists for 2022 and 2023.

2022 – 66 eBooks, discounted to £7,800 from £9,760
2023 - 70 eBooks, discounted to £10,200 from £12,000 – the tentative list currently has 60 titles, but we estimate it will include 70.

If there is interest, the Library may be able to get these from the Tactical fund for large one-off purchases rather than the Science book budget. To me it looks like a good suggestion.
