The 2023/24 John Anderson Research Award (JARA) studentship scheme is open for applications.

The Faculty deadline for completed applications to be submitted on the PGR Studentship System<https://pgrapps.strath.ac.uk/members.php> is Monday 15th May 2023.

Please note that applications that are not fully complete, with all required documents attached, cannot be considered.

As in previous years, a minimum of 15% of the full funding package must come from an external source. Evidence of external funding, specifying the amount contributed, must be provided at the point of application. Home fee status students cannot contribute towards their funding packages. International (overseas fee status) students are permitted to contribute a maximum of the difference between the Home fee and International fee.

Minimum External Funding Requirements (15% of funding packages) for 3-year studentships:

Home- £ 11,206

International Science - £ 19,654

International Maths & Stats - £17,381

International CIS - £18,506

We are currently awaiting publication of 2023/24 UKRI fee and stipend rates. Once these are available, we will send round our updated Fee and Stipend Estimates spreadsheet and update the RKES Portal. In the meantime, please use the attached.
