Hello,
The Faculty of Science currently has two Research Software Engineers. One of them, Chris Osborne, emailed the following:
"I have some more availability to provide RSE support now, and was wondering if we could organise a meeting with people in Physics who might be interested. I've done this for SIPBS and PAC in the past: providing an overview of the RSE group, our ambitions, and the kinds of support we can provide, followed by a discussion where people describe the types of software issues they would like support with. Do you have ideas of which groups within physics would be interested? And if so, is there a particular time that would be easiest to organise a meeting?"
If you would like to meet Chris and see how RSEs might help your research, please reply and we'll see about organising a meeting sometime from the 24th July
Many thanks,
Timothy
