Dear all,

I know a number of colleagues are preparing UKRI submissions for the 28th of September deadline on the new funding service.  I believe that RKES have been in touch with anyone who has a draft costing with this submission date.  I just wanted to circulate the guidance on internal timescales for all staff in case costings are not on CPM yet, or for those who didn't receive the direct email.

In short, there are a large number of proposals likely to be submitted and RKES are asking for support to have all costings submitted well in advance to allow everything to be processed.

Dear Colleagues



This email is being written to all those who have created a draft application on the UKRI Funding Service (TFS) where the deadline is listed as 28th September 2023.

Cc'd to the Vice Dean of Research for each Faculty for information and cascading to Directors of Research.



There are a number of UKRI deadlines for 28th September 2023 and the system currently has over 80 in draft (and increasing each day).



In order to manage the volume of bids for these calls please can you let me know if you are still preparing/aiming for this deadline?



As we are also handling costings for academics who are Co-Is on bids being led elsewhere and deadlines for other funders that same week, we would be grateful if you could give us as much notice as possible and ideally have the CPM / Head of Department approval in place a week in advance of the deadline.  We are aware that the University is closed on Monday 25th September.  The deadline is Thursday 28th September at 4pm.



If you can let us know if your application is going ahead (or not) this will help us plan/manage workload across the team.
