MRC Equipment Opportunity

Dear Colleagues,

As with previous MRC equipment rounds, the funder will not have an expression of interest stage and the application will go directly to the full opportunity. The University is allowed to submit one application. This can be an application that was submitted to previous rounds or a new submission. Can you please inform us of your interest to apply using the MRC Equipment EOI<https://forms.office.com/e/bkE3pTRDJP> Form by 19th September. contact Suzy Rivers via research-equipment at strath.ac.uk<mailto:research-equipment at strath.ac.uk> if you intend to apply.

The scope of the call is with a view to developing new capability or replacing existing equipment for existing capability. The equipment should deliver an unmet need; meet national needs by establishing or maintaining a unique or world leading activity; enhance or complement existing regional or national capability; and meet the needs of a diverse and inclusive user based.

The call is expected to be for items of equipment above £100k. The MRC contribution requested can be up to 100%, at a maximum of £800k per item (the total item cost may be higher, with the remainder being met by institutional or partner contributions). Applications from all scientific areas within the MRC remit are eligible.

All applications will be reviewed by the Strategic Research Equipment Working Group, which is chaired by Professor Patricia Connelly, Deputy Associate Principal for Research and Knowledge Exchange.

Further information, updates and resources will be shared or sign posted here on the RKES portal<https://strath.sharepoint.com/sites/rkes/SitePages/MRC-mid-range-Equipment-Call-2024.aspx>.

if there are any questions or if there is interest in applying then please contact me via research-equipment at strath.ac.uk<mailto:research-equipment at strath.ac.uk>.
