[Academic] PDA meeting this Thursday

Dear all,

Before your PDA student meeting this week, can you please :

a) Remind them you exist and to meet with you on Thursday at 2pm.
b) Encourage them to attend the other events this week (timetable at https://phys.strath.ac.uk/Welcome_week_schedule_2024.pdf )

At the meeting please:

a) Mention support options (if needed): via you, the Physics Department Disability Contacts ( physics-ddc at strath.ac.uk<mailto:physics-ddc at strath.ac.uk> ), Year Coordinators, the Student staff committee reps (it next meets on 16th October), etc.

b) Get them to talk across year groups and interact a bit (a good opener might be to ask if they know about the Physics Society drop-in sessions).

c) Bring them along to JA 3.25 at 2:30 for the PDA families event.

New students, those who sat resits over the Summer, or have had changes in circumstances  may also want to discuss with you privately, so please also make them aware that this is also an option.
