Dear all,
Just a quick reminder, if you have student contact responsibilities (PDA, administration, etc.), before end of Friday please set an out of office email message for the holidays.
The text I'm using is at the end of this message.
For Central out of hours on-call Support over the festive period, th is provided 24/7 by the Campus Security team, on-call Halls of Residence Managers and on-call Heads of Service. Out of hours support is provided during University and public holidays. This service is intended to respond to urgent issues that cannot wait until the University re-opens on January 6th and will be available throughout the festive break.
All calls for support or out of hours queries should be directed to the Security Team in the first instance:
In an emergency call 0141 548 2222 for non-urgent enquiries: call 0141 548 3333
Please note: Security will not provide their on-call rota or contacts to colleagues who raise an issue. If needed, the on-call manager will contact you. Please give Security a contact number and as much information about the issue as possible (Your name and contact details; Name and contact details of the student(s);Summary of issue and any action already taken; if external agencies are involved, contact names and numbers, police reference numbers or hospital/NHS service details.).
Report and Support: The University’s online reporting tool is not an emergency response service – any requests for urgent assistance should be directed out of hours to Security.
Best wishes for the holidays and for 2025
Ben
