[Cnqo] CNQO cluster - software requirements for upgrade

Hello,

I'm preparing for the reinstallation of the CNQO cluster (Armadillo, Vole, Ribbo1-8 and Hippo1 & 2, Phys-porpoise) to AlmaLinux 8.9.

I hope to be able to do this work in May/June, once the project students have completed.

I wondered what of the following you need for the cluster to be useful, and what else you may require:

IDL + license server
Matlab
Mathematica
Python3 (using Miniconda)
Julia
GCC/openmpi/scalapack
Puffin
Intel compilers/MKL etc
