Subject: FMS Drop in Sessions & PECOS

Dear PECOS SPOC/Purchasing Co-ordinators,

I'd be grateful if you could cascade this message to all PECOS users in your area.

As has been highlighted in the Weekly Digest and other recent communications, the University will release its new Finance System, FMS, in around eight weeks' time, on 10 August.

FMS incorporates an eProcurement system called Parabilis, which replaces PECOS when you order content (Catalogue or Punch out) however, you will use FMS to place Non Catalogue orders (free text)

We will circulate in due course details of the transition process from PECOS to FMS, and make training available to all staff, but I wanted to highlight to PECOS users the Drop-In Information Sessions that are being run. A few PECOS users have mentioned yesterday that they didn't think FMS affected them.

As advertised in the Weekly Digest, there are two information sessions today, 17 June (10.00am-12.00am and 2.30pm-4.30pm) and one next week on 24 June (9.30am-11.30am), at the Insight Institute<http://www.strath.ac.uk/maps/collinsbuilding/>.

There's no need to book a place - just come along any time during one of the sessions, grab a coffee and a biscuit, then read the posters, watch some short system demonstrations, and speak to the Project team.
