Dear All,
If you are interested in metrics this meeting may be of interest.
Unfortunately there is a massive clash of several other meetings on Tuesday - we can only be in one place at a time.

Dear All

With the date for this session fast approaching (next Tuesday 14th June) I would like to ask again for you to please encourage colleagues to book a place. Despite the interest that this topic generated at Leadership Group last month only ten colleagues have been in touch so far. Bookings can be made by simply emailing researchaudit at strath.ac.uk<mailto:researchaudit at strath.ac.uk>

Thanks and regards
Scott

Subject: 14th June - SciVal and Citations training and advice

Dear Colleagues

Following on from Elsevier's recent presentation at Leadership Group I would like to let you know that Dr Matt Walker (SciVal Customer Consultant) will be visiting the University again on 14th June. On this day Matt will be delivering a presentation and discussion session that will focus on the use and functionality of SciVal for bibliometric analysis. This session will take place from 14:00 to approx. 16:00 in the Insight Institute area in the Collins Building.

For colleagues who are already using SciVal, Matt will be available throughout the day on 14th June to provide assistance. For this purpose Matt will be available in the Insight Institute from 10:30 onwards. If colleagues have specific questions regarding SciVal, or bibliometrics in general, then they are strongly encouraged to drop into the Insight Institute for some expert advice in an informal setting.

We would like to ask that HoDs and/or DoRs let their colleagues know about the session and the "drop-in" offering. Places on the 14:00 session can be booked by emailing researchaudit at strath.ac.uk<mailto:researchaudit at strath.ac.uk>. The 14:00 session will be tailored for colleagues who are new to SciVal or who have just started using SciVal recently however there are no restrictions - Professional Services, Academic, Research Only etc. are all welcome. For colleagues who decide to make a "drop in" visit to the Insight Institute to speak with Matt it is not necessary to make a booking however an email in advance to researchaudit at strath.ac.uk<mailto:researchaudit at strath.ac.uk> would be helpful to allow us to gauge the expected number of visitors.

If you or any of your colleagues have questions regarding Matt's visit then please feel free to contact us again using the researchaudit at strath.ac.uk<mailto:researchaudit at strath.ac.uk> email address.

Best regards
Scott
