Dear Procurement Network

As part of a business improvement project we have streamlined the SSJ procedure and the application process can now be submitted electronically on the Procurement SharePoint site.     It was identified that the manual paper process could be time consuming, involving sign off from senior members of departments and Head of Procurement approval along with environmental considerations such as electricity, paper and confidential disposal.  The benefits of using the automated system will result in savings in time, cash and environmental impact.

The new electronic process for completing and submitting an SSJ can be found on the Procurement Share Point site which sits under Estates Services.   You can copy and paste this link into a Google Browser https://moss.strath.ac.uk/estates/procurement/Pages/home.aspx to access SharePoint.   If you are prompted to log in you should use your DS user name and password to gain access to this site.
Please note we recommend you only use Google Chrome to access SharePoint and the new SSJ process.   Instructions on how to download Google browser can be found by following this link https://www.google.co.uk/chrome/browser/desktop/

Full User and approver guidance documents are attached and are also available on the Procurement webpage.   The manual paper process will still be available for a short transition period however we would encourage everyone to start using the SharePoint site for all SSJs going forward.
