[Postgrad] Recruitment Events - RESPONSE REQUIRED

Dear All,

It is that time of year again when the Advanced Higher Physics Days are running early in the New Year.  These three, day long events, are very important in the Department's recruitment calendar .  The dates are as follows:

Wednesday 7th January 2015
Friday 9th January 2015
Tuesday 13th January 2015

For those of you who have not helped out in the past, these events are Advanced Higher Days, whereby schools are invited to bring along their Advanced Higher Physics pupils to listen to various talks and then spend 2 hours in a lab conducting experiments, with helpers - which is the help we are looking for from you.

As demand for places on these events is usually very high, we would need at least 6 people to help out on these dates for two hours in the morning and two in the afternoon.  Obviously, the more volunteers we have, the less commitment we would need from each one. We need a mix of staff and postgraduate students to help with this.

These really are very important events for us, which are highly subscribed because the teachers and pupils attending have a really enjoyable and informative time, and this is only possible with your help.

Please let me know, by return if you can, or by 16th December at the latest, on which of these dates you will be able to help and whether you can help morning, afternoon, or both.

(Postgrads will of course be paid the usual rate.  If you need more information on what is involved please just let me know.)

A response is requested of you, even if it is to say that you will be unable to help, as this will stop me pestering you unnecessarily.
