[Postgrad] Open evening - thanks

Thanks to all who assisted with the departmental open evening on Wednesday, either as tour guides, lab demonstrators or in organising and advertising the event.

The turnout was good, with around 55 visitors coming in. They asked lots of questions and seemed to enjoy the talks from our current and former students and the lab tour. Several picked out the the bunker door in the new Alpha-X lab as a highlight - an impressive lump of concrete...

Our next public events will be the Advanced Higher Days , sometime in December. In addition to lab demonstrators I'll be looking for some people to give short talks about their research. If you'd be interested then please let me know.
