Fancy a pint? Want to be part of an international science festival that takes place in the pub?!
What is Pint of Science?
Pint of Science is a non-profit organisation run by volunteers that brings some of the most brilliant scientists to your local pub to discuss their latest research and findings with you.
You don't need any prior knowledge or experience, and this is your chance to meet the people responsible for the future of science (and have a pint with them). The next event takes place 15-17th May 2017
Why you should get involved:
Glasgow is the original Pint of Science team in Scotland. So far, the organizers have largely come from postgraduate students in Science and Engineering at the University of Glasgow but we are keen to involve a wider range of students and disciplines from across the city.
Various themes for the events are on offer covering fields from physics to social sciences, geosciences to medicine. There really is something for everyone!
Not to mention...
Plenty of social events, exploration of Glasgow's finest pubs, freebies and other incentives!
How to get involved:
To get involved you don't need any knowledge of science or event organisation, just enthusiasm, a desire to have lots of fun, drink a few pints, and make some new friends in the process!
If you would like to know more about how to be a part of this exciting international event please email s.wanmer.1 at research.gla.ac.uk<mailto:s.wanmer.1 at research.gla.ac.uk> or a.pickersgill.1 at research.gla.ac.uk<mailto:a.pickersgill.1 at research.gla.ac.uk>! We'll be holding our first meeting in November, so get in touch soon!

We look forward to meeting you!
