Hi Craig,

With reference to our telephone conversation, the Principal has received the attached letter and brochure from Cumberland Lodge concerning opportunities for 6 outstanding doctoral students to become Cumberland Lodge Scholars.  The scheme provides 1st or 2nd year doctoral students with the opportunity to take part in their conference programme over a two year period, receiving training and gaining experience in communication, public engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and networking.

Can you take this forward with your faculty contacts?

I'm copying to the Faculty Managers and SEES colleagues for their information.

Dear Professor Sir McDonald,

I am writing to ask for your help recruiting six outstanding doctoral students to join us as Cumberland Lodge Scholars.

Launched in 2014, the Cumberland Lodge Scholarship scheme provides first or second year doctoral students with the opportunity to take part in our conference programme over a two year period, receiving training and gaining experience in communication, public engagement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and networking.

Attached is a letter, as well as further information about the scholarship scheme. If you are able to share this information with University of Strathclyde doctoral students we would be very grateful.

Recruitment opens on Friday 3rd March and closes on Friday 31st March 2017.
