One of our PGR student reps has asked for the information below and attached to be circulated in case of interest. It's about a forthcoming competition and meeting looking to bring innovative ideas into the area of policing and security.

(We have an exciting 'Scholars Summit' event organised by "Dubai Police Scholars Council" in partnership with the UAE cultural attached in UK (Please see flyer attached).

Dubai Police Scholars Summit 2019 - London, will be a platform for innovating students to showcase their superior ideas/work that could empower policing tasks and societies security. Also, a number of initiatives will be launched and announced to take place in the UK... But most importantly it is a great opportunity to connect and learn from successful people who "Actually Did It!".

Attendees/Award's participants will receive a certificate of participation. Winners will receive special awards.

The competition is open to all UK registered Postgraduates (Masters/PhD students).
The Awards Ceremony is taking place on Saturday 27th April at the Savoy IET centre, London (12-4pm) with a lunch reception overlooking the River Thames.

The deadline for students to submit their idea or proposal is 20th April. Shortlisted students will be contacted to attend the event and present their 5 minute proposal.
