Virtual Graduation
As you are aware, following Government advice, the University has
postponed the formal graduation ceremonies. All students eligible to
graduate will graduate in absentia on Friday 03 July 2020 and will have
the option to participate in a replacement graduation event at a later date.
The graduation ceremonies are a high point in the academic calendar and
we are very sad that these have had to be postponed this year. While we
look forward to welcoming you back to the Department to celebrate your
achievement in a future ceremony, we would also like to mark your
success at the end of this academic year.
We are considering the possibility of holding a virtual celebration of
your graduation at *2pm on Friday 3rd July 2020* via zoom. Please could
you let us know if you and your family would like to take part in this
by e-mailing a passport-style photo of yourself to
alison.yao at strath.ac.uk by *Tuesday 23rd June 2020*. If enough students
are interested we will organise this event and send out the zoom links
by Friday 26th June.
We very much hope that you would like to join us to mark this special day.
