Dear Strathclyde Doctoral Community,

As you are aware from the email I sent on 30th November, working with the Scottish Government, the University has been offering Lateral Flow tests to students who intend to leave their current household and travel within the UK over the Christmas break. As you are also aware, two tests are required. If you would like to be tested, appointments are available all this week and we encourage you to Find out more and book your test here.<https://www.strath.ac.uk/coronavirus/covid19test/>

We have noticed that demand for testing is declining, however we are aware that specific students, including PGRs, may wish to be tested after this week. At this stage we are considering providing testing for a period of time on Monday 14th and Thursday 17th - Monday for the first test and Thursday for the second. To help us assess demand, can I please ask you to reply to doctoral.school at strath.ac.uk<mailto:doctoral.school at strath.ac.uk> AS SOON AS POSSIBLE  - by return please would be perfect - to allow us to make plans.

I need to emphasise that for the Lateral Flow Test, two individual tests are required and can only be administered to PGR students who are changing households within the UK for/during the Winter break and who do not have Covid-19 symptoms.  These tests are not suitable for international travel. If you are planning to travel internationally find out more about foreign travel<https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice>.

Once we have the numbers, we will finalise plans and will let everyone know when the test site will be open.  Students will need to attend the site at the times it will be open on these 2 days.
