Major improvement works to take place on lower level train line
[https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/v2files/shard1/85313/35/6774b866d91225ae922af8.png]From 13 March until 8 May 2022, major improvement works on the railtrack, tunnels and overhead line equipment between Rutherglen and the Exhibition Centre will take place, with the line closing and no train services running during that time.
Many services, which would normally operate via Glasgow Central Low Level, will be diverted into Glasgow Central High Level or Glasgow Queen Street Low Level stations.
Scotrail is developing plans to keep passengers moving when the improvement works take place.

Each year, six full-time Student Executive Officers (Student Exec) are elected to represent the student voice at the University.
The Student Executive organise and run campaigns on their behalf and hold the University to account, at various committees, on decisions that may impact students during their time at Strathclyde.
As part of the nominations campaign, staff are invited to recommend a student.

The Cancer Medicines Outcomes Programme (CMOP) – a national collaborative project between the NHS boards in Scotland and the University of Strathclyde – would like to invite anyone who has an interest in patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) to the following event.
The first meeting of the Scottish Cancer Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) Forum, which is being established as part of the Scottish Cancer PROMS Advisory Group. The Advisory group was formed in 2021 and reports to the Scottish Government’s National Cancer Recovery group.

On Holocaust Memorial Day, Ms Jenny Sedov, Head of the Civil Society Department at the Israeli Embassy in the UK, delivered a practitioner masterclass to students on the MSc Diplomacy and International Security.
Ms Sedov spoke about a range of topics including the embassy’s preparations and engagement during COP26, diplomacy and security in the Middle East, and her experience as a diplomat.
She deals with strengthening the relations between actors in the civil society sphere including local government, academia, third sector and trade unions and in her previous role, she served as the Deputy Head of Mission at the Israeli Embassy in Serbia.

Aimee, who is an Administrative Assistant in Strategy & Policy, joined Strathclyde straight from school as a Modern Apprentice in 2016 – winning a Strathclyde Medal the following year.
She is also in her final year of the Business Management Graduate Apprenticeship.
She tells us why the modern apprenticeship was the right path for her, proving to be a valuable transition from school to work.
