[Postgrad] Short Term part-time lecturing opportunity at Glasgow Caledonian University

Dear All,


Due to staff illness there is a short-term, part-time lecturing opportunity to teach a first year physics module at Glasgow Caledonian University.

The Module Descriptor is attached to this e-mail.

There is a full set of notes, PowerPoint slides, tutorial questions and labs developed for the module.

The timetable is:
Lectures Monday 13:00 – 15:00
Tutorial Tuesday 12:00 – 13:00 (Could potentially be moved to a Monday morning)
Labs are Friday 10:00 – 15:00 on alternate weeks starting 17th Feb, 3rd March, 17th March then they move to a Thursday 30th March and finally 13th April.
Classes are all on-campus.

The proposal (to be finalised) is for: a 2 day a week contract for 15 weeks to cover preparation of material, class tests and marking.  This would be pro rata at the point 38 on the salary scale which is £44,737.  Ideally starting on Monday next week! Although it will take time to get the paperwork in order so it might be the following week.
