[Postgrad] Physics Society AGM

Hi everyone,
We're holding our AGM to elect the next PhySoc committee! If you'd like to be part of the committee and help build up the Strathclyde physics community please come along to the 8th floor common room at 1pm on Wednesday 13th March! Looks amazing on your CV and you can get a discount volunteer card, volunteer hours on your degree and more!
- President
Runs and progresses the Society. Delegates tasks to roles and makes sure the society is active and functioning. Typical tasks for the President to do is find sponsorships, upgrade the society in some manner from the previous year, keep the committee in check and focused and organise events to keep it active.
- Vice-President
Assists the President and fill in for when the President is absent. Coordinates events and overall ensures the society runs smoothly.
- Treasurer
In charge of the Society funds. Makes sure the society doesn't run out of money and handles any exchanges/payments of money in and out of the society.
- Secretary
Keeps a log of the society's doings. Takes minutes at meetings and reminds people of tasks - keeps on top of people to makes sure the society makes progress.
- Social Convener
Helps organise all social events such as pub quizzes, sub crawls. Also occasionally posts on social media and keeps the event pages updated.
- Media Manager
In charge of all the society's media platforms which includes Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Drop-in Coordinator
Manages the drop-in's support session and often runs them.
- Ball Coordinator
In charge of the planning of the graduation ball for all Physics students
- Year Representatives
Every year has a representative in the Physics Society - they make sure their year knows about events going to happen and updates them on what's going on (1st/2nd/3rd/4th/5th)
