The University of Strathclyde has collected its fourth Queen’s Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education at a ceremony in Buckingham Palace, London.
The Award was presented by Her Majesty The Queen in recognition of Strathclyde’s excellence in research and innovation in the field of Photonics – the science of light.

[Financial planning]Additional voluntary contributions (AVCs) are a form of tax efficient saving. USS members who wish to make an additional pension contribution (either as a lump sum or a monthly amount) in the 2023/24 tax year would need to have this deducted in the March 2024 payroll.
In order to meet payroll deadlines, all updates to AVC elections on the MYUSS portal must be made prior to 5 March 2024.

Eleanor discovered the manuscript when she was put in touch with Archie's daughter Sheila, who was in possession of several papers and wanted to find a home for them. Eleanor has long had an interest in Hind's work, and has been teaching the novel to students for many years.
Rachael will be working with Eleanor on the archiving and cataloguing of the work ahead of Hind's centenary in 2028, and will use her expertise to ensure the continuing good condition of the papers for future generations.
