Dear All

Please see details below of an upcoming workshop on quantum information that may be of interest.

Catherine

Dear Quantum Researcher

We are excited to invite you to participate in the upcoming White Rose Quantum Information Science and Technology (WR-QIST) Workshop being held jointly by students of the Universities of York, Leeds, and Sheffield, on July 11-12, 2024 in York, UK.

Our workshop will include both presentation and workshop sessions. Presentation sessions will feature invited tutorials by leading academic and industry experts, as well as contributed talks from young researchers. The workshop sessions will provide a chance to exchange ideas, discuss current topics in quantum technologies and shine a new light on certain questions in panel discussions and guided group activities.

The workshop aims to cover both theoretical and experimental topics ranging from basic quantum physics, optics, and photonics materials to quantum engineering and technology. This is a workshop for young researchers and, hence, we strongly encourage the participation of students and postdoctoral researchers in the WR-QIST Workshop.

You are invited to submit abstracts for oral and/or poster presentations. This is an excellent opportunity to present your research work, network with experts and peers in the quantum information science and technology community, and learn about the latest developments in the field. You can express your interest by clicking on the Registration tab on the Workshop webpage<https://sites.google.com/sheffield.ac.uk/wr-qist-workshop>.

The deadline for abstract submissions is June 14, 2024, and the registration deadline is June 28, 2024. More details, including venue, programme and organisers, can be found at our Workshop webpage<https://sites.google.com/sheffield.ac.uk/wr-qist-workshop>.

Participants that do not have the necessary travel budget to attend the workshop can apply for travel grants through the registration form, as we have limited funding available. The deadline for requesting travel funds is June 14, 2024.

We look forward to your participation and research contributions! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at the following email: qist-workshop-organising-committee at googlegroups.com<mailto:qist-workshop-organising-committee at googlegroups.com>

Please share this with anyone interested and we hope to welcome many of you at WR-QIST in July.

Kindest regards
WR-QIST Workshop Organising Committee
