Almost 600 Primary 7 pupils from 15 schools across Glasgow have ‘graduated’ from a special Strathclyde widening participation initiative.
Graduation ceremonies for the Young Strathclyder programme, held in the Barony Hall on Wednesday 5 and Thursday 6 June, saw pupils wearing gowns and mortar boards taking to the stage, being ‘capped’ and receiving a certificate of achievement.

The University is transitioning from EE to Vodafone for mobile services, which will offer significant savings and improved plans; users will migrate via E-SIMs where possible, or physical SIMs will be provided.
Please hold off on submitting any new mobile requests for a mobile device/change in data bundle or upgrades until the Vodafone implementation is complete, expected by the end of June.

2024 United Kingdom General Election leaflet collection

The team are looking for election leaflets circulated to all 59 parliamentary constituencies in Scotland, to capture and preserve this snapshot of political life, and to help build a rich, diverse archive that will serve researchers, students, and future generations.

It is now over halfway into the Spring Step Count Challenge and Strathclyde teams have already accumulated over a 100 million steps, a fantastic achievement by all involved!
This effort from the Strathclyde community is a continued demonstration of the understanding of the benefits that regular activity has on our overall health.
For the month of June, there a number of active heath initiatives that anyone can get involved in, regardless of if you are joining in with Step Count Challenge or not.

Strathclyde University Chamber Choir end of year concert

An exciting programme will feature Swedish and British religious and folksong-based music, and will culminate in a joint performance of Hubert Parry’s ‘Lord, let me know mine end’.
Tickets are £10, or £5 concession and are available at the door. The concert will take place at St Bride’s Scottish Episcopal Church, 69 Hyndland Road.

Studying combined data from the UK Biobank, a unique record of patient information from over half a million Britons, could help make ‘groundbreaking discoveries’ in the understanding and treatment of breast cancer, say researchers.
Scientists from Strathclyde say there is more scope to study these data sets together to identify the unique biological features of different variants of breast cancer in the future.

The user interface (UI) has been enhanced to simplify common tasks with a clear layout and user-friendly design.
Along with the updated design, several new features have been introduced such as improved formatting, analytics export & filtering.
