In a month where the weather seems unable to decide whether it’s August or January, the sun shone down from a clear blue sky on Strathclyde’s Summer Fete, as staff and students from across the institution celebrated 60 years since Strathclyde’s Royal Charter was set under seal.
Strathclyders enjoyed music, chat, cupcakes and even a chance to hold the Mace at our Diamond Jubilee celebration.

The setup with Vodafone is nearly complete and the migration will be done in a phased approach over the coming weeks.

Will conduct an audit of current provision for indigenous languages over the next three years
[Ingeborg Birnie]Dr Ingeborg Birnie, a Senior Lecturer in Strathclyde’s Institute of Education, has been appointed to lead a group established by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) to support the protection of indigenous tongues.
She has been named as rapporteur for the Ad Hoc Group (Provision of Education) and is one of only 20 experts worldwide to have been selected for the group.

Join Strathclyde's Centre for Forensic Science as they re-create realistic crime scenes; work alongside forensic scientists and learn about the tricks, tools, and skills necessary to process a major crime scene. You will get an in-depth look and hands-on experience of what really happens after a crime is committed – covering the forensic investigation, evidence management, and examination that are used in legal proceedings.
