For colleagues currently using a physical immigration document

The Home Office is replacing physical immigration documents with a digital proof of immigration status – an eVisa – for individuals already living in the UK, and for new visa applicants.

The network is now recruiting facilitators and circle participants to support researchers from underrepresented and minoritised groups in energy research.
The closing date for expressions of interest is 31 October 2024. There is a briefing session following applications on 4 November 2024, 10am.

Central to the Directorate’s mission is the commitment to safeguarding the wellbeing of all individuals on our campus and protecting the University against risk.

NMIS wins Project of the Year

The National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) has been awarded Project of the Year (Universities) at the Education Estates Awards! There were fourteen categories recognising consultants, contractors, architects, clients, projects as well as innovation and sustainability.

‘Ask, Tell, Respond’ training for staff and students
Information and support in the areas of wellbeing, mental health and suicide awareness.
[Women talking]Strathclyde is pleased to be able to work in partnership with NHS Education for Scotland (NES) and Public Health Scotland to make this course on mental health and suicide awareness available to you on MyPlace.
It will enable you to develop your understanding of what mental health is and how you can positively influence your own and others mental health. You will also learn how to have healthy conversations about mental health, how to support people experiencing mental ill health and how you can help to prevent suicide. If appropriate to your area, please share the relevant version with students:

An event to launch the first internal funding call of the Collaborative Cultures programme took place on 18 September.
The event was well attended, with 40 colleagues gathering to hear from the Project Delivery Team, meeting new and old friends from across Strathclyde.

On the day volunteers will be based in the Merry-go-round Shawlands Donations Hub, helping to sort, size and organise the donations of cute baby clothes and textiles in order to recycle and reuse them.

The equipment would be expected to have wide use and underpin capability across all scientific areas of BBSRC remit; the opportunity could support the use of emerging advanced technology or use of equipment in novel ways to enable the translation to real-word settings; develop new capability or replace existing equipment for existing capability.
