[Safe360 logo]Safe360° means incorporating safety in every area of University life and the new Worker Protection (Amendment of Equality Act 2010) Act 2023, which came into force last October, places a positive and proactive legal obligation on all employers to take reasonable steps to protect our colleagues from sexual harassment during their employment.
To ensure all colleagues are aware of what constitutes sexual harassment, what to do if they are subject to or witness an act of sexual harassment, and the impact of sexual harassment the University has introduced a mandatory annual e-learning module<https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/cvg4pnmkid/a3i4ec19zfsw5sb93d38j4/external?email=true&a=5&p=65391241&t=31139365> – Recognising Sexual Harassment to be completed by all employees by Friday 30 May and thereafter on an annual basis.
Downloadable guidance for managers on how to support colleagues and manage any complaints received effectively is also available via the e-learning module.

New form for registering lost items
[lost keys]Security Services have updated their process for reporting items lost on campus using a new MS Form<https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/cvg4pnmkid/1pwucpbf9waw5sb93d38j4/external?email=true&a=5&p=65391241&t=31139368>.
Submitted forms will be registered with Security Control and logged onto the lost property database. These will be checked regularly, and any matches will be contacted, helping the team to return found items to their rightful owners as efficiently as possible.

Strathclyde has emerged victorious at the Glasgow Taxis Cup for the second year in a row, in what turned out to be an exhilarating showdown.
Strath Student Union VP Sport, Anna Edvaldsson (pictured with the trophy) said: "After a tense draw in points between Strathclyde and Glasgow, the winner was decided by individual events won.
"We pulled ahead with a thrilling 11-10 victory, proving once again that our athletes are a force to be reckoned with. This back-to-back win highlights how awesome our sporting community is. Congratulations to the staff, athletes and volunteers who contributed to this fantastic achievement!"

[The Low Road film]As part of our suicide prevention strategy, we are exploring creative ways of encouraging conversations around self-harm, suicide and mental health and we are delighted that Strathclyde will host a special showing of The Low Road Film, a journey of hope set in the Scottish wilderness.
At the screening, the film’s writer and director Stephen Mulhearn, and producer Sophie Marsh, will introduce the film and talk about its potential to support institutions to creatively and sensitively start conversations about self-harm, suicide and most importantly hope and recovery.
