New form for registering lost items
[lost keys]Security Services have updated their process for reporting items lost on campus using a new MS Form<https://universityofstrathclyde.newsweaver.com/cvg4pnmkid/ajam2pqhpsow5sb93d38j4/external?email=true&a=5&p=65365804&t=31139368>.
Submitted forms will be registered with Security Control and logged onto the lost property database. These will be checked regularly, and any matches will be contacted, helping the team to return found items to their rightful owners as efficiently as possible.

[Coffee Roulette logo]Coffee Roulette is a University-wide staff initiative where you are randomly paired with another staff member taking part in the scheme and all you have to do is meet up and go for a coffee. It’s as simple as that.
The idea behind Coffee Roulette is to help foster our Culture of Care, support social wellbeing and promote the University’s value of being people-oriented – also, it’s great fun! Based on feedback from previous participants, the frequency of the coffee catch-ups has changed to every two months

Dr Jane Essex, a Reader in Education with a specialism in inclusion in STEM, is also Associate Dean for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion for the Faculty of Humanities & Social Science (HaSS). She tells us more about her commitment to making education more inclusive and why taking part in the REC Survey is so important for helping us advance race equality at Strathclyde.

Library colleagues reached a significant milestone last week with the addition of the 100,000th citation to a Leganto reading list.
This remarkable accomplishment comes in the sixth year of using the Leganto reading list software, precisely 2,144 days since implementation. This equates to an impressive average of 67 citations per day over 1,494 workdays.

The aim of the course is to allow staff and students to feel more confident in arranging a departmental walk, planning a walking or active meeting, creating a more active culture within the University, knowledge of the University campus and spaces, to ensure walks are accessible, inclusive and engaging with colleagues.

[The Low Road film]As part of our suicide prevention strategy, we are exploring creative ways of encouraging conversations around self-harm, suicide and mental health and we are delighted that Strathclyde will host a special showing of The Low Road Film, a journey of hope set in the Scottish wilderness.
At the screening, the film’s writer and director Stephen Mulhearn, and producer Sophie Marsh, will introduce the film and talk about its potential to support institutions to creatively and sensitively start conversations about self-harm, suicide and most importantly hope and recovery.

A historic theatre could be in line for a potential multi-million pounds funding award following an innovative partnership with Architecture students.
Leith Theatre in Edinburgh has been awarded an initial grant of £247,947 to advance its capital refurbishment plans in partnership with The National Lottery Heritage Fund. Trustees are now aiming to secure the full £4.5M needed to help restore the iconic building, which fell into disrepair decades after being gifted to the people of the port district.
