Dear Rachel and Fabien,

I am writing to you about a fully funded PhD position available in our group on wide bandgap semiconductors. Could you please circulate this to the UKNC mailing list? I do not have access to the mailing list currently.

In brief, the position will focus on material to device correlation in wide bandgap semiconductors for electronics (GaN, Ga2O3, or SiC). It would be ideal for a recent graduate in materials science, physics, or electrical engineering.

  1.  This is in collaboration with IQE and the scholarship benefits from a £2,500 top-up to the usual annual stipend of £19,237


  1.  The full cost of UK tuition fee will also be paid and additional generous yearly research expense will be available


  1.  The student will be based at and benefit from Swansea University's flagship £55M facility, Centre for Integrative Semiconductor manufacturing (CISM)


  1.  Open to applicants eligible to pay tuition fees at the UK rate only and the student must be able to start in from October 2024.
