Dear All,

Can I remind you of the importance to the University of ensuring
compliance wrt copyright (see below). I copy below the key paragraphs
from the attached document. Please ensure that material on VLEs doesn't
contravene copyright rules.

Regards,

Rob

Dear Colleagues,

Please see attached a memo outlining the importance of copyright
compliance, particularly with respect to the VLE.

I appreciate that those of you heading Professional Services may feel
this memo is of less relevance than their academic colleagues, but all
parts of the University are likely to be creating and using copyright
material, so I would respectfully ask you to give it a few minutes of
your time.

Many of you may recall the annual memo I have sent out on copyright
matters in the past. I have this year shortened it and much of the
information that used to be in it (for example on the licences the
University holds) is now on an appropriate web page (link within the
attached). I have also focused the memo on some specific issues that are
the cause of concern.

As always, please contact me if you have any queries.

Kind regards

Ralph Weedon
