[Academic] DF1000 account

Dear All,

I'm very conscious of the pressure on running cost accounts. In this 
context I need to highlight the sums of money building up in the DF1000 
account. There are restrictions on spend, which needs to be have some 
association with "home" PhD students, but we need to be spending this 
much faster than we are. It can be used for small equipment, 
consumables, computers, travel, etc. (again .... with association to a 
"home" PhD student).

The total is currently in excess of £100k and some individuals have 
large balances that will not be easy to shift. Kirsten can provide your 
balance. Please spend, hopefully relieving the stress on running costs. 
If you can transfer recent RC spend all the better.
