[Academic] PH450 Projects

Hello,

Some notices for PH450:

Project talks:

The second set of undergraduate talks for PH450 are on this Wednesday 1st April, from 1pm. A timetable for the afternoon is attached. If you can, please go along to support the students in their presentations, and provide marks for the talks.

Project reports:

The deadline for submitting project reports is noon on Monday 20th April. Attached are the guidelines for project report feedback - the key one being:

"In order to provide a suitable level of guidance in project preparation each student should receive feedback, covering the correctness as well as presentation style, on
approximately 10 pages of material (submitted at least 1 weeks before the hand-in deadline). The feedback from the staff should be in the form of a discussion highlighting
both good points and areas that need addressing rather than a re-writing of material."

Two example projects are available to students on MyPlace.

New mark sheet:

Finally, there is a new mark sheet this year, with slightly changes to the categories. PDF and Word copies are attached. Please use it for supervisor and report marks.
