Subject: Sent of Behalf of Prof. Billy Kerr: RSE Medals 2017 - Call for Nominations

SENT ON BEHALF OF PROFESSOR BILLY KERR

Dear Deans and Vice-Deans (Research),

Call for Nominations for Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE) Prizes 2017

The Royal Society of Edinburgh has released the call for nominations for their main annual prizes. To recognise achievements across the career spectrum, the RSE Prizes Fund supports a Senior Prize and an Early-Career Prize in the following four categories: (i) the Life Sciences; (ii) Physical, Engineering and Informatic Sciences; (iii) Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; and (iv) Business, Public Service and Public Engagement. Strathclyde has been successful with such prizes in the recent past.

We are now seeking information on possible nominations from across the University. Since nominations for all of the above can only be made by Fellows of the RSE, we would also be willing to assist with the alignment of suitable nominating Fellows, where this is required.

Based on all of the above, the names of suggested nominees should be sent to Dr Jo Pitt (jo.pitt at strath.ac.uk<mailto:jo.pitt at strath.ac.uk>) by 1200 on Thursday, 13th October, 2016.

Full details<http://technology-trust-news.org/2S3B-ANJ5-KS3ZK-4JO53-1/c.aspx>, including past winners, nomination forms, and guidelines, are available on the web. The final deadline for nominations to be lodged with the RSE is Monday, 28th November, 2016.

Regards,

Billy
