Dear All,
I would like to point your attention to this. I really don't know much about it, but it looks to me like an opportunity similar to Chancellor's Fellowship or maybe even URF. I think we have to expect this to be exceedingly competitive, and while I certainly wouldn't discourage any local talent from applying I would encourage you all to see this as a potential opportunity to attract external talent. So, go fishing!
Erling

Subject: UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship - EOI

Dear Colleagues,

Following the email of 16th April describing the call for EOIs for the UKRI Future Leadership Fellowship here are details of the Faculty of Science process:

Deadline for EOI submission to science-enquiries at strath.ac.uk<mailto:science-enquiries at strath.ac.uk>: 12 noon on 29th May using form attached. Note that in addition to the information required by UKRI there is a section (for internal use only) requiring you to explain your match to the person specification (section 2.2 of guidelines) for this fellowship in up to 1000 characters. There is also a section requiring you to confirm you have discussed your plan to apply with your HOD/HOI. Please ensure you do so and that your Head is aware of the financial commitment required in later years of the fellowship. A group will meet within the Faculty very soon after 29th May to check the submissions. Although there is no University quota we need to ensure the quality of submissions is suitably high and may need to apply a filter.

Regards,

Rob
