Dear All
Please see email below from HR regarding advertising over the Christmas Break.
Catherine
Dear Colleagues,
Please distribute as appropriate within your Department
Staff Recruitment: Advertising over the Christmas Break
We are aware that there is often a heightened demand to progress staff recruitment advertising as we approach the Christmas break, in order that adverts can be live across the Christmas/New Year period.
To assist us in meeting the demand, we would ask that where pre-Christmas commencement of advertising is sought, the departmental lead in the recruitment process ensures that all relevant documentation (as noted below) is submitted to the HR team by Monday 3 December 2018; this will allow us to work with the departmental lead person to finalise the documentation and ensure the advertising period commences within the following fortnight.
Template Further Particulars (FP's) and guidance on how to raise a vacancy initiation form through PEGASUS can be found at http://www.strath.ac.uk/hr/recruitingatstrathclyde/. You may also find the following templates documents helpful when preparing the Further Particulars (FPs) for the role: template job profiles <http://www.strath.ac.uk/hr/careerpathways/academicprofessionalstaff/templatejobprofiles/> (Academic/Teaching/Research/ Knowledge Exchange) & job level descriptors<http://www.strath.ac.uk/hr/careerpathways/supportstaff/> (APS/Technical/Operational).
As you will be aware, advertising can usually only commence once the relevant Financial Authority to Appoint (ATA) form has been fully approved, and ATAs should therefore be submitted at the earliest opportunity to allow for that approval process to be concluded in good time. We are happy to receive draft recruitment documentation in advance of ATA submission or whilst the ATA is progressing through the system.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact a member of the HR Science team at hr-science at strath.ac.uk<mailto:hr-science at strath.ac.uk>
Please circulate this message to relevant staff within your department.
Kind regards
Natalie
