opportunity at U Dundee. Please bring this to the attention of any

Due to leave of absence of one of our Physics lecturing staff in
Semester 2 we are seeking to fill a temporary lecturing position in
Physics. The period of the appointment will be January to March 2019.
The contract will be to deliver a Year 1 module, PH12004 Light & Matter,
and co-deliver Year 3 PH32006/16 Experimental & Professional
Physics/Astrophysics. Delivery of PH12004 involves 22h lectures, 11h
workshops, and 33h laboratory, there will also be preparation and
marking time. The module is based on materials from University Physics
Young and Freedman and Mastering Physics will be used for workshop
assessments. Delivery of PH32006/16 requires 66h of laboratory teaching
and will involve marking and preparation time. These assignments will
also include time for development of new laboratory experiments.
We are seeking highly motivated individual who has a PhD in Physics, or
Astrophysics, and who ideally has experience in laboratory teaching.
Experience as a postdoctoral research associate is also desirable.
