[Academic] Return to Working on Campus

This message is for academic staff who have NOT already completed the forms for approval to work on campus.

For those of you who are still currently working from home, I am now sending you the forms and information needed to return to work on campus.

This is not necessarily for immediate access, but it is likely that some of you will be involved in the limited face to face teaching from week 4, and we need to have the forms and steps completed ready so that your access can be requested when it's needed.

Please note that if you have any specific health concerns, you should contact occupationalhealth at strath.ac.uk and ask for an appointment with one of their advisers.  They will then provide a report to you and your line manager which will detail any recommendations or requirements.  This is in addition to the steps below.

All staff returning to work in the John Anderson building must:

  1.  Read the attached University Covid-19 Information Leaflet.
  2.  Read the attached Physics return to work SOP.
  3.  Review the attached Physics induction slides for the John Anderson building and send an email to safety at phys.strath.ac.uk<mailto:safety at phys.strath.ac.uk> from their individual University email account to confirm that they have viewed and understood the information.
  4.  Register with Ulab (https://www.ulabequipment.com/<https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ulabequipment.com%2F&data=02%7C01%7Cgabrielle.weir%40strath.ac.uk%7C93046b402673409e47d808d837b9f5b3%7C631e0763153347eba5cd0457bee5944e%7C0%7C0%7C637320619758909000&sdata=z6%2FplzPmzuPkwmFmWO2sKkeLpukOcJBluihM29Ekvgw%3D&reserved=0>) and send an email to safety at phys.strath.ac.uk<mailto:safety at phys.strath.ac.uk> confirming that this is done (to trigger assignment of the relevant group access).
  5.  Complete the attached Return to Campus Induction Checklist and Agreement. Please add an electronic signature or print, sign and scan.  This must be signed by your group head before being returned.
  6.  Complete the attached Health Self-Assessment. Please add an electronic signature or print, sign and scan. This must be signed by your group head also.  Note that this information is confidential to the staff member, their line manager, the Department Manager and the Head of Department and will be processed within current GDPR guidelines.

Item 5 above requires viewing the fire safety video, which is on MyPlace and only takes 10 minutes to complete. To find it:

  *   sign in to classes.myplace.strath.ac.uk
  *   click "Find a Class" at top and search for “fire safety awareness”
  *   look through the online slides and complete the quiz.

Please send the documents to me, as attachments to a single email with the subject line “GDPR: Confidential - Return to Campus: JA – NAME”.

If you have an idea of what date would like to return to campus, please let me know in the email.

If you've already completed the forms, please ignore this email.
