Dear All,

A University-wide communication on the issue of new PhD students on
campus has not yet gone out, but I'm told that there will be provision
for ‘essential’ lab-based students to come into the labs in the same way
we allow access for the other lab-based PhD students. It must be for
'essential lab research or training' (i.e. work that cannot be done
remotely) or it would not comply with current Scot Gov rules and
therefore not be approved.

If you are supervising a new PhD student who needs access to your group
laboratory, please contact Gabrielle and arrange for the return to
campus and induction documentation to be completed. Please ensure that
the student reviews and signs the relevant risk assessments for the
laboratory. Thanks

Best wishes,

Paul
