Subject: IOP Particle Accelerators & Beams Group meeting at Strathclyde

Dear All,

Particle Accelerators and Beams Annual Conference (PAB 2023) 29 and 30 June 2023 at Strathclyde
Following the success of last year's inaugural Particle Accelerators and Beams Annual Conference, the organising committee would like to announce PAB 2023.
This two-day conference is the UK's premier national event in the field of particle accelerators. This year we are very pleased to add a truly international element to the conference with keynote talks from both the Director General of FermiLab, Lia Merminga and the Director of the Chinese Institute for High Energy Physics, Yifang Wang.
PAB 2023 aims to bring together the entire community -- this in-person event will comprise two days of vibrant physics discussion, knowledge sharing, and networking. As well as a packed programme of Keynote, Plenary and Parallel as well as a Poster session, we will also be hosting a civic reception and the conference dinner in the magnificent Glasgow City Chambers to allow participants plenty of opportunity to discuss all that is new and exciting in UK accelerator physics and technology. We encourage participants at all career stages from PhD students, through postdoc to senior professors to attend.
The conference will take place on 29 and 30 June 2023 at the University of Strathclyde.
Registration is now open, and further details for the conference and registration can be found at: https://indi.to/pab2023
Nominations are also still open for the Group Prize for Outstanding Professional Contribution.
The IoP Particle Accelerator and Beams Group is currently looking for nominations for the annual Group Prize for Outstanding Professional Contributions in the field. This annual prize recognises someone who has contributed to accelerator science and technology in the UK or Ireland and raised its public profile.
Nominations should comprise a summary case of up to 2 pages, together with major citation evidence (where relevant) and may include up to 2 letters of support for the candidate.
The Prize is expected to be awarded at the Annual Conference (see above) on 29th-30th June 2023. All nominations should be sent to the group's Honorary Secretary Andrew Smith <andy.smith at manchester.ac.uk><mailto:andy.smith at manchester.ac.uk> by 1 June 2023.
For more information about the prize and to see a list of previous recipients, visit the group webpage at:

Hope to see you there,
Particle Accelerators & Beams Group organising committee.
