Dear All,

Someone has dumped boxes of chemicals and substances in JA 5.08 (waste Store), for disposal. No paperwork and with much of the contents, not labelled or in unmarked sample bottles! This is not acceptable - It puts the Health and Safety of John Revie at risk.

May I remind you all, that the proper procedures to be followed for Hazardous Waste disposal, are in the Departmental Safety Handbook.

All HW disposal items, must directly go through John Revie in the first instance, accompanied with the correct paperwork and charge codes for payment of the disposal. If you any doubts on the correct procedures to be followed, contact John, who will be able to offer advice and assistance.

Regards,

Ron
