Dear students

The English Language Teaching (ELT) unit offers English language support to all non-native English speaking international, European and exchange students at Strathclyde University. Students paying overseas fees for a full year are entitled to 4 hours per week of English tuition FREE throughout the academic year (equivalent to two different courses per week). We also offer 2 hours per week of FREE In-sessional English classes to all EU and exchange students (equivalent to one course per week).

The next series of courses starts week beginning 20th January, 2014. Each class is held once a week at the same time and lasts 2 hours. If you are interested in taking any of our English courses (see attached timetable and course descriptions), please complete the email application form and send it as soon as possible to elt at strath.ac.uk<mailto:elt at strath.ac.uk>, ensuring that you put 'In-sessional Registration' in the subject line. If you have any questions about these courses, then again please email elt at strath.ac.uk<mailto:elt at strath.ac.uk> and we will reply as soon as possible.

Class lists and room numbers will be posted on the ELT notice boards outside rooms LT203 and LT209, Livingstone Tower, on the In-sessional course page of the ELT web site (http://www.strath.ac.uk/elt/courses/in-sessionalgeneralenglishandenglishforacademicpurposescourses/) and on Myplace (ELT13,1) from Monday the 20th of January.

Please note that students will only be contacted if there is a problem with one of their choices, e.g. your In-sessional English course is full. If you do not receive an email from ELT, you can assume that your place on the In-sessional English course(s) is secured.
