OPPORTUNITIES

Become an EU Careers Ambassador!
EU Careers are looking for a motivated, outgoing student (must be an EU citizen) with enthusiasm to promote EU Careers on your university campus!
As a highly-regarded employer of top graduates, EU careers are looking for a brand ambassador at the best universities in Europe (which Strathclyde is one of!). Part of an established and successful initiative, being a EU Careers Ambassadors scheme involves finding innovative ways of promoting the great opportunities they have to offer, including:

  * attending careers fairs, or giving presentations to your fellow students
  * developing university networks and providing information
  * maintaining an active online and social media presence
  * answering questions and queries about EU Careers
Of course, there's a lot in it for you, too.
For starters, all the Ambassadors receive comprehensive training which will prepare them perfectly for the role. You'll be able to develop the skills you need to be a successful.
Secondly, in a super-competitive graduate job market, a position of responsibility like this could really make you stand out. As well as developing your communication and presentation skills, the international perspective you'll demonstrate will give your C.V. extra clout with future employers.
The following link gives you access to the EU Careers Ambassadors website where you will find more detailed information on the programme. http://ambassadors.eu-careers.eu/
The selection process involves the following two stages:

  1. Interested candidates complete an online application - deadline 23 May 2014, 12.00 noon (Brussels time)
  2. Shortlisted candidates complete a short online interview (from 1 and 15 June 2014 - further details will follow at a later stage).
The successful candidates will be notified in early July.
All selected Ambassadors will be invited to attend a training session organised by EU Careers (either in Brussels or in your country). Good Luck!
