The Trustees of the Thomas and Margaret Roddan Trust are offering a small number of bursaries of between £500 to £3,000 to undergraduates who will have completed at least one year of study at the time of taking up the award; postgraduates undertaking taught courses (including part-time); or postgraduates engaged in research for a higher degree. Students due to complete their studies at end May/June or applicants due to begin their studies in September 2020 are NOT eligible.
Awards may be made to students having their ordinary residence in Scotland and studying anywhere in the world (including Scotland) or students having their ordinary residence outside Scotland and studying in Scotland.
Students must complete an application form, personal statement and provide financial details and a reference. The Trustees will not fund applications to cover expenditure which should have been planned at the outset of the course such as required periods abroad and required field courses. The Trustees are, of course, willing to consider applications where a student has suffered financial hardship through unexpected circumstances.
Application forms are available from the Funding and Financial Support Team (financial-support at strath.ac.uk<mailto:financial-support at strath.ac.uk>) and at Thomas & Margaret Roddan Trust 2020<https://www.strath.ac.uk/studywithus/scholarships/thomasmargaretroddantrust/> (live tomorrow).
Completed applications must be returned to the Funding and Financial Support Team by Tuesday 21 April 2020 at 4pm. Applications received after this time will NOT be eligible for consideration.
A maximum of ten applications can be put forward by the University. The Trustees will make every effort to intimate the results of applications by 30 June 2020.
Kind Regards
